The Search Active Devices Protocol (SADP) tool is a free software utility provided by Hikvision. It detects Hikvision devices on your local network and allows you to export an XML file to request a reset code. Step 1: Download and Connect Click the option located on the right panel
If your DVR is linked to a verified Hik-Connect account on your smartphone, you can generate a reset QR code. Click on the local DVR login screen. Select Verify by Hik-Connect or Verify by QR Code . Open the Hik-Connect App on your smartphone. Tap the "+" icon in the top right and select Scan QR Code . Scan the QR code displayed on your monitor. The app will generate a temporary security code.
A pop-up window will appear. Click the button to save an .xml file (often named DeviceKey.xml ) onto your computer. Do not reboot your DVR after this step, or the file will become invalid. Step 3: Send the File to Hikvision Support Download and Install Hikvision SADP Tool on your PC
Wait for support to reply with a new response XML file or an activation code. Step 4: Import the Reset File
